Agricultores se conectan por satelite a alta velocidad |
La compañía satelital con sede en Luxemburgo SES dijo el viernes que su división europea SES Atra ha firmado un acuerdo para proveer Internet por satélite de alta velocidad a los agricultores holandeses.
Según los términos del acuerdo, SES Astra proveerá de un servicio de banda ancha a la Federación Holandesa de Agricultura y Horticultura, dijo la empresa en un comunicado.
Un portavoz del grupo no quiso dar más detalles, aclarando solamente que entre 200.000 y 250.000 hogares se verán beneficiados en áreas rurales de los Países Bajos que no tienen acceso a Internet de alta velocidad.
SES es uno de los operadores de satélites comerciales más grandes del mundo, que vende su capacidad de transmisión a compañías como BSkyB, Canal Plus, Premiere y NBC.
